I get asked a few things a lot, so I figured I'd just pop it up here for fun! Q: What kind of dogs are your dogs? A: My dogs are Cardigan Welsh Corgis - Simon, Caleb, Tess (Caleb's daughter) and Temperance. Riley is a Pembroke Welsh Corgi and now lives with a friend who lost her 19 year old dog and her husband in the same year and needed a buddy desperately. <3 It was a good match. Q: What's the difference? A: I always joke that the first difference is that Cardigans will always have a tail (well, barring a horrific accident) and a Pembroke will usually have a docked tail. Simon and Caleb woke me up this morning... to tell me that Piper passed away last night, in her sleep. She was all curled up in her bed. Pretty much two months to the day since the diagnosis, and considering they expected her not to make it till Christmas, I feel pretty okay. She'd been pretty rough lately, but had eaten dinner and a bunch of cheese sticks and some pie last night. (Yep, spoiled until the end.) I'm glad she went like that too -- it was pretty obvious she was completely asleep when it happened, comfy and safe in her bed. Sad day at our house, though.
